The Boro youngster is on his way to the Football League with an announcement expected shortly.
Calum Hudson is currently on loan at NPL Premier side Guiseley after a spell with Tadcaster Albion.
Boro boss Jono Greening told SAFC TV the youngster is heading for League One with an announcement expected soon.
He said there is a chance he may be loaned back to Scarborough Athletic in the future.
"I think something's been agreed so when it's done, I'm sure everyone will know. Yeah, it could be great. I've spoken to the club he's going to about that and if they feel that, you know, he needs to get some more game time, we'll be one of the first options for him to come to."
Greening said the defender has a bright future:
"You know, it's a young player who's been with us for a while. It's a young player we like. Obviously he needed game time, this year to get that match experience. He did that Taddy and he's done really well and he's at Guiseley and done really well and he's got a lot of interest.
So yeah, we've agreed to let him go to a club. Once it's all done, sealed and delivered, we'll be able to tell everyone about it."
