Boro have brought in a young defender from the Championship as they make another long trip south.
Jono Greening's men go to Norfolk side Kings Lynn on Saturday just seven days after a trip further down the South East coast to Suffolk side Needham Market.
Boro announced the signing of Jack Waldron from Sheffield United on Friday.
The former England Under 16 and 17 defender is expected to go straight into Saturday's squad.
The news comes hours after the news that Mackenzie Maltby, from United's neighbours Sheffield Wednesday, faces a long stint on the sidelines with injury.
Kick-off at Kings Lynn is 3.00pm with Boro looking for just a second league win since September.
