The Seadogs are looking to regroup in the National North league this Saturday when they travel to face Radcliffe, following a narrow midweek FA Cup defeat.
League action resumes for Scarborough Athletic this Saturday as the team travels to Lancashire to face Radcliffe.
The Seadogs are returning to the National North competition following a 2-1 extra-time defeat to Macclesfield in the FA Cup on Tuesday evening.
A quick recovery is now the priority for the squad after their midweek cup heartbreak. The demanding schedule requires players to balance their sporting commitments alongside their regular jobs and family lives.
Scarborough Athletic manager Jono Greening said his side must bounce back quickly:
"Yeah, course, yeah. You know, it's relentless, this league, and with the FA Cup and the Trophy, it's always difficult because there's that many games, and you try and fit in training with that as well, and they've got their jobs as well and their families. It's a busy schedule for them. We need to put a really good performance on against Radcliffe like we have done the last two games. If we do that, hopefully we can get the right result, but we have to be clinical with our chances that we get because I think, over the last couple of games, we've had plenty of chances, and we've not been clinical enough."
Focus now turns entirely to securing a positive result against Radcliffe this weekend, with the management team hoping the squad can convert their recent goal-scoring opportunities into a crucial league victory. Boro are likely to at least be without long-term injury victim Michael Duckworth.
Kick off is 3pm.
