Scarborough Athletic are aiming to secure their third consecutive victory as they travel to face Chorley in the National North this Saturday, buoyed by high confidence and strong recent performances.
A third consecutive victory is the target for Scarborough Athletic as they travel to face Chorley in the National North this Saturday.
High confidence and strong tactical displays have defined the start of the season for the Yorkshire Coast side. The team are hoping to build on their recent successes and maintain their winning momentum on the road.
Despite feeling frustrated by the outcome against South Shields earlier in the campaign, the squad's out-of-possession work and overall resilience have drawn high praise from the management.
Speaking to SAFC TV, Boro boss Jono Greening noted that his side have been terrific so far this season:
"Really pleased with the boys' efforts since the season started. I don't think we got what we deserved against South Shields with the performance, but it's about trying to bang performance after performance out, build that confidence even higher, even though it's quite high at the moment. We're training really well. We look good in games. Yes, there's patches where we have a little spell where we're maybe not as good with the ball as we should be, but that happens in any football match and it's what you do out of possession afterwards when you're not quite at it in possession. We've been really good at that as well, the character and desire, and hopefully we can go and put a good performance on against Chorley on Saturday."
