Father Christmas is arriving in Scarborough, on Saturday, for his annual parade to the town's Boyes store.
St Nick will arrive by boat in Scarborough Harbour, as he does each year.
The town's Boyes store manager is Chris Golder:
"So Santa's arriving down at the harbour and he's going to be greeted by sixth-form bands playing Christmas songs.
"We're then going to go on a parade uptown and then come back to Boyess Queen Street where he'll be opening his grotto.
"It's great for all the families. It sets Scarborough off really for Christmas."
Chris says anyone who misses him today can meet Santa in the shop's grotto:
"I think it puts everyone in a great mood and it's a great day.
"The grotto's open Thursday afternoons and Friday afternoons, all day Saturday and all day Sunday."
