North Yorkshire Police have issued an appeal for information regarding a burglary that took place in the early hours of the morning at Hinderwell Service Station on the High Street.
The incident occurred at approximately 1.30am on 10 December 2025, when an unknown suspect gained entry by smashing a large plate window.
During the break-in, a quantity of cash that had been collected for the RNLI Charity was stolen, alongside a box of cigarette lighters. This theft has raised concerns within the local community, particularly given the charitable nature of the funds taken.
Police are urging anyone with information that could assist in identifying the offender to come forward saying:
"We are appealing for any information which may assist to identify an offender in this investigation.
