Prospect of Sunny Half Term on Yorkshire Coast Prompts COVID Reminder from Health Boss

Half term is here, it's a bank holiday weekend and the weather looks good, but COVID restrictions are still with us warns North Yorkshire Health Boss.

Most schools on the Yorkshire Coast are breaking up for the half term holidays today and with a spell of decent weather expected over the weekend health bosses are urging us all to get outside but to follow the COVID regulations.

Louise Wallace is North Yorkshire's Director of Public Health, she is reminding residents that there are still rules in place regarding indoor gatherings.

The bank holiday looks like being sunny on the Yorkshire Coast and with schools breaking up for halt term today it's expected there will be an influx of visitors over the coming days.

Louise Wallace is welcoming the opportunity to get outdoors but asking people to follow the COVID rules and guidance.
