North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information about a criminal damage incident in Eastfield in which officers were targeted with bricks and stones.
It happened on Sunday (15 September 2024) at 1am when officers were responding to reports of youths causing anti-social behaviour on Maximus Road.
North Yorkshire Police say:
"On our arrival, we were deliberately targeted with bricks and large stones in a clear attempt to seriously injure officers. The youths were throwing the missiles from behind a fence on the building site opposite.
As we retreated to a safe distance, the youths continued with their behaviour, causing damage to a vehicle parked on Roma Drive."
One of the suspects has been identified as white boy, aged between 14 and 16, and wearing a white top, black shoes, black trousers and a grey jacket.
The second suspect is white, aged 14 to 16, and he was wearing Nike skinny grey trousers.
Officers say:
"We are requesting assistance to try and identify the two offenders.
