NHS App Issues for some Bridlington GP Patients

Bridlington's GP reorganisation has progressed this week with more patients moving surgery but some patients are having problems accessing the NHS app.

Patients from Wolds View Surgery successfully transferred across to Drs Reddy & Nunn on 21 February 2023 and they will soon be followed by patients from Field House Surgery on 14 March 2023.

There is no change for patients registered at Humber Primary Care who will continue to have their care provided by the practice from premises at Station Avenue Medical Centre, Manor House and Flamborough.

For most patients, the transfer has been very smooth, however, the practice says it is aware that a small number of patients may experience some technical issues with accessing the NHS App.  NHS Digital has issued the following advice for patients:

Technical issues after switching GP surgery

  • If you become unable to access GP services once your transfer has completed, please try to log in again.
  • You might be prompted to re-register using the same registration method you used initially.
  • If you registered with information given to you by your GP surgery you will need to obtain this information again as it may have expired.

Dr Nicole Nunn, GP Partner at Drs Reddy & Nunn said:

“Unfortunately, this is a national issue which is out of the practice’s control and we sincerely apologise to our patients for any inconvenience caused.

To assist the practice, we are asking that you avoid telephoning us to request new log in details as we do need to be able to securely verify people’s identity.

For those patients who have given us their mobile or email details, we will be sending out a message with an accurx link so you can securely get the log in details you need to re-register.

Alternatively, please try to re-register using photo ID such as your passport or driving licence or pop into the surgery at any time throughout the day, avoiding early mornings when we are at our busiest.”

Patients of Drs Reddy & Nunn are also being reminded that they could, on booking, be offered an appointment at either the Medical Centre at Station Avenue or at Bridlington and District Hospital while work continues to redesign the clinical space.

Dr Nicole Nunn, continued:

“To avoid confusion, please remember to make a note of the location of your next appointment.  For our patients attending our new branch surgery at Bridlington and District Hospital, please use the main entrance where the Urgent Treatment Centre is located and volunteers will be on hand to help direct you to our check in desk and waiting area.”
