Scarborough and Whitby's new MP says she is not happy that another dental practice in Scarborough is to stop providing NHS treatment.
The Falsgrave and Alma practice made the announcement this week.
The town's new MP - Alison Hume - gave us her reaction.
In a letter to patients the dental practice says it will only be offering private treatment from September meaning existing NHS patients will either need to pay for a private dental plan or find an alternative NHS provider.
The dental practice says the change is a result of it being unable to recruit NHS dentists
The town's New Labour MP - Alison Hume - says that while her party has promised 700,000 new dental appointments she doesn't yet know when or where they will be available.
The new MP says she will be making contact with the dental practice and the Integrated Care Board, who commission dental services, to see "whether we can extend the period of time to allow the new government to come in and start making improvements."
Patients affected by the change are being advised to check for alternative NHS provision at https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-dentist
