North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue are in line for 5 new fire engines by April.
One was delivered just before Christmas after what the authority called problems with suppliers.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue's chief financial officer is Michael Porter.
He says a total of 16 new vehicles are due to arrive- a few at a time- over a number of months:
