New allotment sites are to be created in the Scarborough area, as the town faces a growing waiting list for plots.
The increase in demand is in part being put down to the pandemic as people looked for new outdoor pass times.
Borough Councillor Rich Maw says there are a couple of options:
Increasing demand for allotments in Scarborough has led the borough council to look at creating two additional sites at Prospect Mount and at Dunn Grove in Eastfield.
