Monitoring in Place after "Movement" of Whitby's Eskside Wharf

The cause isn't known and engineers are investigating.

Enhanced Monitoring has been put in place in Whitby after movement of Eskside Wharf.

The borough council says its engineers are investigating.

Council Director - Nick Edwards - says the situation has been identified as a risk the council needs to address.

The council says engineers are monitoring Eskside Wharf following the detection of movement of the structure.

Nick Edwards says the cause is not yet know but investigations are ongoing.
