The new mayor for North Yorkshire has had his say on the region's housing needs.
David Skaith has laid out what's been promised already by his colleagues in the Labour government.
He told This is the Coast he wants to stop people moving away from the area due to a lack of housing:
Mr Skaith says they've already allocated funds for a thousand new homes in North Yorkshire.
