A popular hotel in Robin Hood's Bay has announced a series of events for locals, visitors, and guests as part of its 2026 summer programme
Hotel Victoria in Robin Hood's Bay has announced a packed 2026 summer programme featuring local cuisine, live jazz, and a cooking demonstration at Scarborough's Seafest..
Set against the backdrop of the bay, Hotel Victoria will utilise its sea-view terraces and garden to host events celebrating coastal cuisine, local music, and regional culture.
The hotel's annual Summer BBQ will return on the 20th of June from 4:00 pm. Co-created by head chef Ryan Osborne and local butcher Andrew Radford, the menu will feature locally sourced Yorkshire produce. The barbecue will also include live performances from local artists.
On the 28th of June from 2:30 pm, the venue will host 'Music on the Terrace', offering a relaxed afternoon of live jazz from emerging young musicians. The entertainment will be provided by Ravenscar brothers Teddy and Lucian Blockley, who perform as the jazz duo The Low Tiders.
Fifteen-year-old Teddy plays the upright double bass, having transitioned from the bass guitar, which he started playing aged eight. His younger brother, twelve-year-old Lucian, takes the lead on the tenor saxophone. Lucian has played piano and drums since he was three and discovered the saxophone through free trial lessons at primary school with the North Yorkshire Music Service.

The duo's repertoire focuses on classic jazz, and their set is expected to include favourites such as 'My Baby Just Cares For Me', 'Autumn Leaves', and 'The Bare Necessities'.
Looking further ahead, head chef Ryan Osborne is scheduled to make an appearance at the newly relocated Seafest at Scarborough Spa on Saturday the 18th of July at 2:30 pm. Acting as a guest chef, he will participate in a cooking demonstration to share his expert tips, techniques, and favourite recipes.
The summer season at the Robin Hood's Bay hotel will continue with the Annual Music Fest on the 15th of August from 2:00 pm. The afternoon will feature acoustic performances from local artists, allowing guests to relax in the sea-view garden while enjoying local ales and regional dishes.
Throughout the summer, the hotel will also host its weekly 'Fisherman’s Friday' evenings from 6:00 pm in the traditional Loxley pub, honouring the maritime heritage of the area.
Andrew Long, owner of the Hotel Victoria, said:
"We’re delighted to unveil our summer programme for 2026, which brings together some of the very best elements of life on the Yorkshire coast – exceptional local food, talented musicians, and a genuine community spirit.
At Hotel Victoria, we’re passionate about supporting local businesses, producers, suppliers and musicians throughout the year. From our Summer BBQ and Music Fest to our popular Fisherman’s Fridays, each event has been designed to celebrate the people, flavours and traditions that make this area so special.
Whether you’re joining us as a hotel guest, visiting for the day or are one of our valued local residents, we look forward to welcoming everyone to enjoy great food, live entertainment and unforgettable views across the bay this summer."
