Hornsea Lifeboat added:
'Hornsea Inshore Rescue is an independent lifeboat that was established thanks to the strong support of the local community, who believed our services were needed in a coastal community that attracts thousands of visitors throughout the year. Since we began in 1994 we have been involved in the saving of lives.
'From our humble beginnings in a pig shed to our new purpose-built boat house and sea safe educational centre, our volunteers are operational throughout the year. But we are so much more than just a lifeboat crew. As well as providing a life-saving inshore rescue service we also have a team of highly trained volunteers who deliver educational talks and presentations to local businesses and schools, and RYA approved courses on being safe at sea.
'All of this is done with the support of local people, Hornsea Inshore Rescue receives no funding from the Government or from the RNLI. We couldn't do the life-saving work that we do without your help.'
