Jean Dixon is recognised for her work with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance
The Queens Birthday Honours list was revealed this weekend and among the recipients on the Coast is Scarborough's Jean Dixon who receives the British Empire Medal for her work as a fundraiser and ambassador for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Jean has raised over three quarters of a million pounds over the last 20 years. Jean says the news that she was to be honoured took her by surprise.
