Approval has been granted for five homes and the demolition of a vacant former pub in Bridlington.
The new homes, to be all three-bed houses, will be at Bessingby Gate, on the site of what was previously The Mermaid and The Inn on the Green.
The pub has been shut since 2019 when permission was previously allowed for its conversion to a residence, though that did not end up happening.
The homes will vary in size, with two three-storey, two two-storey, and one single storey.
