Filey residents are being invited to get out their running shoes today.
For the second year in a row Active Filey are putting on a festive family beach run.

For the second year in a row Active Filey are putting on a festive beach run to encourage people to get out and run off the turkey.
Brydon Simpson from the group says they want it to be a fun, free, family event.
Over 100 people have already signed up for the event.
The event will take place on Tuesday 27th December at 11am. The race briefing will be at 10:45 on the beach near the Sailing Club.
Organisers say that while under 16's can take part in the event any under 10 MUST be accompanied by parent/ guardian

There is no entry fee although donations are welcome. There will be medals for the event winners which have been funded by McDonalds. Funding for the runner numbers has been provided by Yorkshire Coast BID.
