Crime in the seaside town of Filey has continued its downward trend over the past four years, despite a small increase in 2024.
The data, sourced from North Yorkshire Police, shows that total crime incidents fell from 363 in 2021 to 336 in 2023 before rising slightly to 349 in 2024.
The report to Filey Town Council highlights that while 2024 saw a minor uptick in overall crime, the figure remains lower than both 2021 and 2022, indicating a positive long-term trend.
