The centre says it hopes to be able to help rehabilitate more seals this year.
An increase in sightings of seals, porpoise, dolphins and even whales along the Yorkshire Coast could bring more visitors to the area.
Sightings of the marine creatures have become more prevalent in the last few years, but as the populations of marine animals off out coastline increases so do the numbers of injured animals washed up on the beaches.
Andrew Turner from Sea Life Scarborough says that in response they will be expanding their seal rescue programme this year.
Andrew says the expansion of the Seal rehabilitation facilities are just part of the work they are doing to highlight issues around conservation of the maritime environment.
