Physical demands are already playing a role early in the schedule. Warm weather conditions, artificial pitches, and travel requirements have resulted in minor fitness concerns for the squad. Recent substitutions were required to manage cramping, with tactical changes already proving effective on the pitch.

Speaking to Brid Town TV ahead of the fixture, manager Scott Kerr outlined the squad's preparations and his expectations for the match.
He said:
"It's going to be a tough game. They they've come off full of confidence. They've got win momentum like ourselves, we you know, the two teams that have you know, they've won a lot of games last year, we've won a lot of games back in the last season, you know, we finished and so we will be going there full of confidence, you know, understanding it's going to be a tough game, you know, a real tough game. But we're excited. You know, we'll regroup now. A couple of little niggles, you know, Billy come off with a cramping. It's so warm there, you know, astro turf and we travelled up but you're going to get these first game season, so that's why we made a few changes. You know, we make the change then hopefully and that it works straight away. Toby come on and we set the goal. You know, we'll we'll regroup on the bus and we'll look at the numbers tomorrow. Yeah, excited to go and attempt to get the lead up in the away."
