Bridlington RSPCA have issued their annual timely reminder about keeping pets and wildlife safe during the days before and after Bonfire Night as well as the day itself.
They say provide a safe space for your pets to hide in if they need to.
This is also useful for around New Years Eve as this tends to be a time when fireworks are let off to celebrate the start of the new year.
Provide a safe space for your pets to hide in if they need to.
Keep cats indoors if possible.

Don’t make too much fuss of your pets if they are frightened as this can cause more stress and fear.
If you have small pets in hutches, cages or enclosures, cover them with thick blankets or a duvet to block out the sights and sounds and if they are in the garden move them into the garage or a shed if possible for extra protection.
