A community organisation in Bridlington has handed over a four-figure sum to support a local food pantry's vital work over the coming year.
Bridlington Round Table presented a £1,200 cheque to the Christ Church Re-Store Pantry, a service that assists people facing hardship in the town.
The financial boost is earmarked to ensure the continuation of weekly food deliveries to vulnerable individuals and families across the Bridlington area.
Members of the Round Table visited the facility to make the presentation and see the operation first-hand.
A spokesperson for Bridlington Round Table said:
"Yesterday, we were proud to present a £1,200 cheque to Christ Church Re-Store Pantry to support its Re-Store Pantry for the year ahead.
This funding will help provide weekly food deliveries to vulnerable individuals and families across the Bridlington area - making a real difference where it’s needed most."
The community group praised the efforts of those who give up their time to run the food service.
The Bridlington Round Table spokesperson added:
"Our team were truly inspired by the dedication and hard work of the Christ Church Re-Store volunteers.
Their commitment to supporting the community is incredible, and our sponsorship of such a worthy cause was an easy decision to make.
This is exactly why we do what we do - giving back and reinvesting the funds we raise into our local community to help improve lives."
