Bridlington RNLI Volunteers Celebrate Competency Pass-Out Success

Several volunteer crew members at Bridlington RNLI have successfully completed key competency assessments to ensure the station remains ready to save lives at sea.

Life-saving capabilities on the Yorkshire Coast have received a boost following a successful week of competency pass-outs for volunteer crew members at Bridlington RNLI.

Key assessments have been completed by several volunteers, demonstrating their dedication, commitment, and professionalism to the maritime charity.

These achievements represent many hours of training and assessment. The RNLI confirmed the successful pass-outs will help ensure the Bridlington station remains ready to save lives at sea whenever the pager sounds.

Tooltrak pass-outs were successfully completed by four volunteers. The newly qualified members are Anna Needham, Craig Ewan, Diane Norton, and Jason Webber.

In addition to the Tooltrak achievement, Anna Needham and Jason Webber also completed their pass-outs to become Inshore Lifeboat Head Launchers.

Meanwhile, an All-Weather Lifeboat Mechanic pass-out was achieved by Mikey Ellison. His assessment was accommodated by the RNLI team in Whitby.

A spokesperson for Bridlington RNLI said:

"A huge well done to everyone involved and thank you to the trainers, assessors and crew who support our volunteers every step of the way."

The charity also expressed gratitude to the team who facilitated the assessments. The spokesperson added:

"Many thanks to Keith Attridge the Plant and Machinery Trainer who assessed everyone and Whitby for accommodating Mikey’s pass out today."
