Bridlington RUFC are on the heels of rivals Scarborough in North East 2 after victory over Halifax-based opposition on Saturday.
Bridlington beat Old Crossleyans, from Halifax, 44-29 at Duke's Park on Saturday.
Fifth-placed Brid are now just a point behind Scarborough RUFC, in North East Two.
Boro lost at another Halifax side, Old Brodleians, 17-12.

Meanwhile Whitby enjoyed a victory over County Durham opposition at White Leys Road.
They beat Sedgefield 36-13 in Durham & Northumberland Division Two.
