Scarborough Athletic beat Middlesbrough U23's at the Flamingo Land Stadium last night.
Man Of The Match Brad Plant scored the opener after 10 minutes before A J Bride equialised for the visitors shortly before half time.
Scarborough made some changes in the second half after what Jonathan Greening described as a 'flat performance' up to that point. The substitutions did the trick with Boro adding goals from Dom Tear, Plant again and Lewis Maloney to secure their place in the next round of the competition.
Scarborough are the current holders of the historic trophy.
Attendance at the Flamingo Land Stadium was 524.
