North Yorkshire Police report that officers searching for missing Douglas Watts have recovered a body in Cloughton.
Police say the discovery was made on Wednesday evening.
Officers say:
"Formal identification is yet to take place, but we believe the body is of Douglas who went missing on Wednesday 23 July 2025. We have updated the family of Douglas and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
Officers do not currently believe that there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
