The big sleep out for a Scarborough charity set for Saturday has had to be postponed.
The Rainbow Centre said in a statement that it's due to the weather:
'Due to the severe weather forecast, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the Rainbow Centre Big Sleep Out. The safety and comfort of everyone taking part has to come first, and unfortunately the conditions just aren’t suitable this weekend.
'We know how much effort and excitement has gone into preparing for the event, and we’re just as disappointed as you are. A new date will be announced very soon, and we hope you’ll still be able to join us to raise awareness and vital funds for people experiencing homelessness in Scarborough.
'Thank you for your understanding and support.'
