It's the final year of Barrowcliff Big Local, with its latest event taking place at Gallows Close on Saturday.
Following on from last year's successful event, there'll be free entertainment at Gallows Close Centre in Scarborough.
It's all part of Barrowcliff Big Local- which has received a million pounds of funding from Government.
Here's one of the organisers- Bill Chatt:
"We've really gone into it this year 'cause it is gonna be our last year. Big Local comes to an end this year no more. So we've managed to get a thing called a stage bus. I don't know if you've ever heard of one from Birmingham. So they're gonna come up and bring this stage bus up. And we're gonna start with the Scarborough Wellbeing Choir, who's gonna set us off.
"Then obviously we've got this company called Glow, crazy Discos, who's gonna do some entertaining for a few hours for the children. Then we're gonna go on to some local bands, and then at the end of their day, we've got an ABBA tribute band. Absolutely fantastic."
There's refreshments including burgers, sausages and drinks.
Bill added:
" Gallows Close on the old railway lines. They could come down from Falsgrave or you could come up from Scalby and it's all about having a good time and enjoying yourself. It. This year we are gonna realize that potential last year was a little bit of a. A washout would be a nice comment, but it was torrential.
"But this year we're gonna have sunshine. We're gonna be about 22 to 26 degrees. You're gonna have the centre open for people to go in there. There's gonna be a few table tops in there for people who's raising funds for various organizations. But all in all, it's gonna be a good day. Bring a seat, sit outside, listen to the bands and you never know."
Glow disco may actually get you up there dancing and having a good time."
