Yorkshire and England cricketer Adam Lyth will lead out the teams, on Saturday, after losing a Fantasy Football League tournament.
The test opener's forfeit is to take the field at the Towbar Express Stadium, against Rushall Olympic, in a full matching home strip, hand-in-hand with Whitby Town's captain as an adult mascot.
That's likely to be Michael Woods after Lewis Hawkins went off with a knee injury, last weekend, in a real battle with Bamber Bridge.
Blues player-boss Gary Liddle, who's likely to be needed himself after fellow defender Frankie Whelan's concussion and sending off, may also utilise versatile youngster Harley Dawson in a defensive role, after he performed well there after Whelan's departure, last week:
" Yeah, he did and he's quite comfortable in that position. He's obviously got height, he's got composure. I think the first time I put him there just to test him out was Billingham Town away in pre-season. I remember. And he'd done really well in that game, and I've just always added in my head from then that if he's ever needed to fill in that position, then he's more than capable of doing that.
"Whether he can do that again against a good Rushall team, who've obviously come down, you know, we'll wait and see, but no, there's obviously gonna be a gap there at the back. There's probably more certainly going to be a gap there in midfield to fill as well, and a couple of gaps on the bench to fill as well.
"So plenty of food for thought in terms of team selection and squad selection. But no, I'm confident I'll be able to put a team out there. And then ultimately it's up to the lads who do come in to stay in the team."
You can hear more from Liddle and catch Whelan's own account of the battle of Bamber Bridge on this week's Codcast.
Kick-off is 3.00pm
