North Yorkshire Police are on the scene of an accident between Main Street Seamer and Staxton Roundabout.
North Yorkshire Highways posted this update a short time ago:
The A64 in North Yorkshire is closed eastbound between the A1039 (Staxton) and the B1261 (Seamer) following a serious collision. North Yorkshire Police are currently on scene. The closure will remain in place for several hours until investigation work is completed
COASTLINER have said their services are being impacted:
Due to a road traffic collision at Staxton, we are having to divert out 843 service. The stops from East Heslerton to Mayfield Hotel will not be served. The nearest stop from Scarborough is Seamer Roundabout. The nearest stop to Scarborough is Eastbound West Heslerton
