The Burniston and Cloughton Pantomime cast are preparing for their 22nd show and this year is a firm family favourite – Snow White!

The village pantomime promises to be a magical and enchanting experience for all ages. With its captivating storyline, memorable characters, and lively performances, the local production transports the audience into a world of fantasy and wonder.

Snow White is a story that has charmed generations, and this pantomime adaptation stays true to its timeless charm while adding a modern twist. With witty dialogue, catchy songs, and hilarious slapstick comedy, this production promises to keep you entertained from start to finish.

Watch as Snow Whites’ stepmother Grimelza the Wicked Queen, is consumed by jealousy and rage when her mirror declares Snow White to be the “fairest in the land” sending beloved fairy tale princess into the woods to be killed by bungling woodsmen Stink and Bog… thankfully there are plenty of good dwarves, Prince Frederick, and Fairy Goodheart to save the day.

This years’ stars on the stage include favourites Nikki Button as Snow White, along with Jez Pratt, Andy Backhouse, John Duffy and Kate Hill, whilst younger members Rosie Williams (age 13) and Jacob Robinson (age 14) take on leading roles as Fairy Goodheart and Dame Dolly’s son Danny.

Liz Fettes has been director since 2016 and explains that Snow White is a great choice, with something for everyone from toddlers to grandparents. “Our pantomimes are very popular and last year Puss in Boots sold out in just over a week – so I’d recommend getting your tickets as soon as you can.

“It’s a fun pantomime and it’s lovely to see families returning every year to enjoy the performance – there’s lots of singing, audience participation so get ready to participate in the traditional call-and-response moments - it's an experience that will create lasting memories for both young and old.”

Burniston and Cloughton Pantomime will run from 21st to 24th February. Performances start at 7pm and there is an additional Saturday matinee at 2pm.
