Pen-y-Ghent Family Walk

Pen-y-ghent is the smallest of the Yorkshire Three Peaks at a height of 694m, but a mighty climb. It offers a fabulous round route starting and finishing in Horton in Ribblesdale. The walk will be guided with experienced mountain guides and there will be a checkpoint on the top of Pen-y-ghent to make sure we know that you have got there and we will check you back in bottom for you.

The walk is circular six mile route and has steep climbs. It offers a great family challenge and all in aid of York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity. The team from York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity will be at the start and finish for you and there will be guides with you make sure you are safe. On arrival, we will register you all in and give you a route map for the walk, so the children can see where they will be going. You are welcome to take a picnic to eat at the top and there will be some treats at the finish.
