Forgefest 2024

Back for another year, the fantastic Forgefest day at Ye Olde Forge Valley Inn, West Ayton, begins at 11am with a tug of war over the River Derwent, live music from 1pm until late and a wide array of stalls, food and child friendly entertainment! The event is FOC but all money raised goes towards 3 amazing charities; Scarborough Whitby and Ryedale Mind, MacMillan and St Catherine's Hospice.

As this year is the Olympics, we have decided that this years challenge for Forgefest will be the Olympic Torch Relay. We are looking for darts players to take the Torch from Olympia, through Greece and across the ocean to Marseille. We also need some fit people to take the torch through France, visiting 64 territories with more than 400 towns and cities. As this is on land and sea, it will be by running, rowing and cycling. The challenge will start on Friday 23rd August and aim to finish on Sunday 25th August during Forgefest. Teams of 6 would be good, with at least 3 keep fitters and 2 darts players with an extra person to keep score and take over from others. 2 hour slots, 24 hours.
