Scarborough College – Redefining Education on the Yorkshire Coast
If you’re looking for more than “just another school”, Scarborough College could be the difference you’ve been searching for and on Saturday October 4th you can explore Scarborough College yourself at their October Open Day from 10am to 1pm.
At Scarborough College, small class sizes aren’t just a promise – they’re the foundation for better teaching, faster progress, and outstanding results. Year after year, our pupils go beyond expectations, with Sixth Formers securing places at top UK and international universities.
But at Scarborough College, education is about much more than grades. We believe in developing grit, resilience, and confidence – qualities that last a lifetime. That’s why learning often happens beyond the classroom walls.
Our Yorkshire Grit programme takes pupils from Reception to Year 9 into challenging and exciting environments – from watersports to golf, rock climbing to surf skating – building belief in their own abilities from the very start. Older students can push themselves further through our Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, developing leadership and independence along the way.
A Sporting Powerhouse
Scarborough College is home to a sports programme that rivals many clubs and schools. Our coaching team includes former international players who bring their experience and winning mindset directly to our students. We’ve also just added a brand new Multi-Use Games Area to our already impressive facilities, which include cricket nets, large playing fields, and access to the England Athletics-standard track and field facilities at Bramcote Athletics.
Our results speak for themselves – we’ve produced national champions across age groups in cricket and national finalists in hockey. Whether students dream of playing for their country or simply want to enjoy sport at a high level, the opportunity is at Scarborough College.
A Thriving Arts Scene
The arts flourish at the College. With three high-standard drama productions each year and professional Drama consultants who have worked on stage and screen, students are inspired to perform at their very best. Our programme of music recitals brings internationally renowned musicians into the College, giving students the chance to learn directly from world-class performers. With choirs, ensembles, and solo performance opportunities across the year, the stage really does belong to our students.
A Global Sixth Form Advantage
Our Sixth Form students study the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) – a globally recognised qualification that develops academic rigour, critical thinking, and a broad skill set. The IB opens doors to leading UK, US, and international universities, helping our students stand out in an increasingly competitive world.
If you are looking for a school where academic achievement, personal growth, sport, and the arts are all given equal value – this is your chance to see it for yourself.
